Tot School - Our Week and our Favorite CD's!

I don't have a lot of pictures this week, but we did enjoy several tot school activities! Also, I finally got my act together and included some information about Zachary's favorite CD's in this post! So here's what we've been up to!

I have been working on these Bottle Top Name/Word Cards for a while now, and was finally able to get a couple of them finished. The link above will take you to the original idea.

Zachary really enjoyed matching up the letters to spell the words, and he caught on much more quickly than I thought he would!

One morning, I did not want to take time to dress Zachary in snow clothes, so I brought in a bucket of snow & let him dig in it with his sand toys - he loved it. :)

Of course, he had to eat some of the snow. :)

And for our craft project this week, we did a puffy paint snowman! This paint was SO fun and stayed puffy after it dried - so cool!

Beware: It is messy!!! :) But it rinses right off with warm water. :)

And here is the finished product: (we added some finishing touches, right on the wet paint, then cut it out after it dried overnight)
So, now on to some of our favorite CD's! This first one was a Christmas gift from one of Hubby's brothers, and it started it all. :) Z has always loved music, and even as a baby, he quieted when we would turn on the music in the car. But we just never really bought him any CD's of kids' music. But when he got this one, he would listen to it, and really started to learn the songs! When he was listening to 'his CD', he was always quiet and happy in the car! (Click on any of the CD pictures to look at more information about the CD.)

So when Natalie was being born, my parents were here, and noticed how much he loved the CD, and bought him two more like it! It is really fun to hear him start to sing the songs & it is amazing to hear how many of the words he knows!!!

As I was cleaning out a cabinet one day, I found an old 'Music Machine' CD that Hubby had listened to as a child! I put it with Z's CD's and let him listen to it one day, and the very next day, he asked for it by name!

Another Christmas present we received, was this book that comes with two CD's! We haven't used the book much yet, as we received another Bible story book, and are working through that one right now. But we have listened to both of the CD's, and we really enjoy them! The songs are a great mix - some praise songs, some hymns (some of them are even redone in fun ways), and some original fun songs, all about praising God!
Our newest CDs were a 3-pack that I picked up at Ollie's last week - and we are all really enjoying listening to them! I could only find pictures of two of them, but the third one is called Jesus Loves the Little Children (also by Twin Sisters), and the songs are Christian children's songs - I've really enjoyed listening to all three of these. The Scripture Memory songs are so neat - I love the idea of actual Scripture set to music, because I think it makes the Scripture so much easier to memorize! And all three CDs are very well done, in my opinion. :)

One more Cd that I almost forgot about is our Praise Baby CD. I couldn't find a picture of it, but it is called Born to Worship, and you can read a review I posted of it here.

What an awesome bottle cap activity! Thanks for sharing Z's favorite music cd's. I've been looking for some good ones for my little one!

I'd forgotten all about The Music Machine! "Most perfect contraption that has even been seen..." I know what's going to be rollin' around in my brain today ;)

That snowman is absolutely adorable! I wonder if I could dye the paint & do a different craft with it...off to check out the link :)

Oh wow, you are so much more energetic than me. I almost never sit down and do crafts with Jacob anymore. Our fun times usually include baking something in the kitchen or walking to the park, but I should def. do more!
